Dancing in the Street
Dancing in the Street is a work based on the flamenco dance that was originally accompanied by hand clapping (not the castanets), often in rather complex rhythms with the occasional foot stomp for emphasis. Percy Hall has included all of these elements in a work that is ideal for teaching hooked bowing with syncopated rhythms. Your orchestra won't be the only people clapping!
