About March and Rejoice (arr. Hall)
These two pieces by the great Baroque composer Handel will be a great addition to your clarinet choir library. The March is from his oratorio "Joshua." It is a processional march scored with full sound of the choir from top to bottom. The second piece titled “Rejoice” is perhaps better known as "La Rejouissance", a familiar part of the Royal Fireworks Music. It has some challenging technique calling for well articulated staccato-marcato style, but it does lie well under the fingers. Scored in the written keys of G and C major (F and B-flat concert) for an adaptable ensemble of 4 B-flat soprano clarinets and bass clarinet with optional parts for alto, contra-alto, and contra-bass clarinets.
