Humoresque
Although this Humoresque is an entirely original composition, its style is very much that of a Russian folksong. Tchaikovsky originally wrote this piece for piano, but he liked it so much that he arranged it for violin and piano, emphasizing its folksong character. The composer's violin and piano arrangement has been amplified into an exciting piece for string orchestra.
